You don’t need to take our word for how wonderful Passareiro is, below are some comments from our most recent visitors…
What an amazing place! We arrived just wanting to unwind completely and there's no better place to do it. Great to get off the tourist trail and stay in a traditional farmhouse, nestled among cork trees and vineyards. Barbecues during the warm evenings, local wine, a maid to help out and the sound of silence - what more could we ask for! The local town of Evora is beautiful and thanks to the owners for their recommendations on where to eat and what to see. Hugely recommended - a must stay!"

As first time visitors to Portugal, Passareiro allowed us to really experience the Alentejo region and spend time with friends we had not seen for a long time. We shall certainly return and fully recommend the Mollet's family home and hospitality. An excellent choice that was enjoyed by both us adults and the children. "

Set among the cork trees on a working farm, this is a quintessential Portuguese affair and the guests can be forgiven for entertaining dreams of a more pastoral existence. The house is filled with character, simple but tasteful and it almost seems the owners have just popped out and entrusted you with their home, leaving their jackets on the pegs etc.. The local wine is excellent and the outdoor spaces ideal for enjoying it. "

We spent a week here during August 2010. Fabulous weather, great location (idyllic views over miles of hundred year old cork trees), lovely (fresh water) pool. We had a selection of kids (age 1 - 7), but never felt worried about where they were or what they were up to (no sharp edges, no sharp drops). It took me about 24 hours to wind down... and after that i was in a hammock or horizontal for most of the time after that... with perfectly decent internet access and well hidden plasma tv/dvd for those who need it. Passareiro is a unique place and experience. We spent a blissful week as a family swimming, walking and cooking. It wants for nothing and I can't wait to return. The location is perfect- the setting is profound. Surrounded by cork trees and vineyards - yet only a mile from the local village. I sincerely can't imagine a more perfect place for a holiday. Can't wait to get back."
